Girl of My Dreams

Sunday is the only day I let myself oversleep, as a result I am usually relaxed all day taking my time to do things and remaining in a semi dream-like state of mind.  What made this Sunday morning especially dreamy was spending it with the new edition of Lula magazine.

This issue of Lula has, like always, a very soft, sweet and girly feel to it.  It is different to most mainstream magazines, which bombards one with lots of images, adverts and heaps of information all cluttered on each page, which might be an enjoyable read for another day of the week.  But for Sunday mornings I recommend Lula whose pages whisper timeless stories of the known and unknown, even forgotten people like the silent movie star Alice White.

Issue 9 has been guest edited by the model and singer Karen Elson.  It touches on topics related to her like Nashville, Tennessee, her friends, her boutique, designers she has worked with like Anna Sui, and talented women who are also redheads. The cherry on the cake is the numerous beautiful and fairy tale-like editorials.
