The most amazing thing about London is that anything is possible here, even the most inconceivable collaborations. I just learnt today that the British Royal Family's home in London, Kensington Palace, has invited several fashion designers to transform some of the rooms into works of art. In order to help the visitors discover the secrets of the state rooms and of the people who occupied them. Mainly that of the seven princesses who once lived there and their hidden stories. That sound like fairy tales fit to base a film or two upon as they include that of a rebellious princess who ran from an arranged marriage, the childhood memories of young heirs to the throne, and many more.
I've absolutely loved fairy tales as a child, mainly about princesses and have always enjoyed history, or better said a good story therefore, this exhibition is a must see. What makes it even more fascinating is that designers such as Vivienne Westwood, William Tempest, and Stephen Jones are some of the names involved in this collaboration.
The exhibition opened on the 26th of March and will run until January 2012. To watch a video about this wonderful exhibition try the BBC News website.
