I recently learnt about Jessica Dance she is a recent graduate from the Arts University College at Bournemouth in Fashion Studies, who's whimsical and playful work has received a lot of attention. The designer creates cute and colourful fashion accessories in the form of creatures (Couture Creatures) that are currently stocked in Kabiri.
Jessica has created installations which have been featured both in Selfridges and Kabiri to promote her work. In addition there are these two videos, one which documents how her little creatures are made, and the other illustrates the pre-production and behind the scenes of the first video. All props are handmade and remind me of the art from the film The Science of Sleep as well as my friend Amelie Labarthe's work which is all monstrously cute.
